Essay Outside The World
A whole lot of nothing.
What do you expect? I'm just one person.

I've been busy elsewhere this week, so I don't have a feature essay or even a rumination to share on this here blog. Instead, I can only share with you the promise that something relatively good is coming, and I am having fun preparing it. I think it is safe to say that it is not a book, not another large essay, and not even a Web site feature or update.
Instead, it is a new app. That's all I will say for now. I mentioned on the frgmnts app that what I am working on is a sort of "love letter" to my past, and it truly is. I hope it will all make sense when it is released. You'll see a lot of disparate elements working together in a strange way, and these elements both induce a sense of nostalgia and provoke a sense of newness and opportunity.
I will be releasing it as a web app first, as my time allowed for iOS development is not as available as it was when I was first working on frgmnts. When it releases and feedback is received, I will try wrapping it up into an iOS app before the end of the year.
MMMM I am really trying to not spoil the surprise. Hard to write about it without actually writing about it. So really what we have now is 230 words of absolutely nothing, which I suppose is nothing new for me.
Side note: I have posted video stories to Instagram two times in the past couple of weeks. That's just not something I do, but I did it because I am so desperate to get the word out about frgmnts and get more users to join. Guess how it went? I got 0 people to join. Goose egg. Zero. I will just remain patient. The product is sound. I have this sneaky feeling that within the next 12 months, something is going down with Meta, and I will be here to capitalize on it.
They certainly have a way of screwing up their own business for the sake of money, and I will be happy to take any users who swear off their products at their time of collapse.
I am still well on target for my launch goal of August 1st for this announcement. When it's ready, it will show up front and center here on OTW. Until then, keep your eyes to the stars and intentions on the horizon.
