Outside The World // Privacy Notice

A Smaller, Clearer Privacy Notice.

Outside the World is New, LLC operates Outside The World, frgm<nts, word.person, and related pages. This notice explains what we collect, why we use it, whom we rely on to process it, and how to ask us to access, correct, or delete it.

Effective July 23, 2026

1. Who Operates OTW

Outside the World is New, LLC is responsible for the personal information covered by this notice. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to ryandavid@outsidetheworld.com.

2. Information We Collect

Most public OTW pages can be read without creating an account or completing a form.

  • Waitlist: email address, submission time, source page, and any optional short note.
  • Professional inquiries: name, contact information, inquiry type, comment, and submission time.
  • Support: name, email address, optional frgm<nts handle, support topic, message, urgency choice, and submission time.
  • Seat check-ins: name, email address, onboarding responses, optional message, reply preference, and submission time.
  • Shirt order requests: name, email address, Venmo username, shirt size, shipping address and state, optional note, selected design details, a rendered copy of the finished design, price and custom-order-terms confirmations, and submission time. We do not ask for Venmo passwords, PINs, bank accounts, or card numbers.
  • Direct communications: whatever information you choose to include when you email us.
  • Basic request data: hosting and security providers may process IP address, browser or device information, requested page, referring page, and request time when serving or protecting the site.

3. Where Information Comes From

We receive form and communication information directly from you. Hosting and security request data is generated automatically when your browser connects to the site. We do not purchase personal information from data brokers.

4. How We Use Information

  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the site and related services.
  • Maintain the frgm<nts waitlist and send requested launch communications.
  • Review and respond to professional inquiries, support requests, and seat check-ins.
  • Review, confirm, fulfill, and support shirt order requests and related payment communications.
  • Prevent spam, abuse, unauthorized access, and other harmful activity.
  • Comply with law and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims where necessary.

5. Storage and Service Providers

New public form submissions are stored in a private Cloudflare D1 database. Rendered shirt-order artwork is stored in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket. Shirt order details and a time-limited, unguessable artwork download link may also be delivered to the site operator through Formspree as an order notification. Submissions and order artwork are not written into OTW's public site repository. A previous repo-backed waitlist implementation was discontinued in July 2026.

We use service providers to operate the site, including Cloudflare for hosting, security, media, Workers, and private database and object storage; GitHub for public site source and public content; Formspree for shirt-order notifications; Venmo for separately authorized goods-and-services payments; and email providers for direct communications. They may process information only as needed to provide their services to us and under their own applicable terms and privacy commitments.

Some OTW pages, including legacy pages, may request externally hosted fonts, media, or embeds. The provider can receive basic request information when that resource loads. OTW does not currently use Google Analytics or third-party behavioral advertising on its managed public pages.

6. Local Browser Storage

Some OTW tools store drafts, settings, theme preferences, or authentication-related data in local browser storage on the device being used. Private publishing tools are not intended for general public use.

7. Sale, Sharing, and Advertising

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use submitted contact information to build advertising profiles. We may disclose information to the service providers described above, when you direct us to do so, or when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or protection of rights.

8. Retention

  • Waitlist records: until launch outreach is complete, you request deletion, or two years after submission, whichever comes first.
  • Professional inquiries: ordinarily no more than two years.
  • Support requests and seat check-ins: ordinarily no more than twelve months.
  • Shirt order requests and rendered order artwork: ordinarily no more than two years.
  • Privacy-request records: only as long as reasonably needed to document and complete the request.

We may keep a record longer when reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, safety, legal obligations, or legal claims. Service-provider logs may follow the provider's own limited retention schedule.

9. Your Privacy Choices and Requests

You may ask us to confirm whether we hold information about you and request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy. You may also unsubscribe from launch communications at any time. Send requests to ryandavid@outsidetheworld.com.

We may ask for enough information to verify that the request concerns you. Applicable law may provide additional rights depending on where you live. We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request.

10. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Browsers may send legacy Do Not Track signals or newer opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control. Because OTW does not currently sell personal information or use it for cross-site behavioral advertising, there is no separate sale or advertising profile to disable. We treat a recognized opt-out preference signal as a request where applicable law requires it.

11. Children

OTW and the planned frgm<nts experience are intended for people age 13 and older and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us so we can remove it.

12. Security and Sensitive Information

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the information we hold. No internet service is completely secure. The shirt order form asks only for a Venmo username so we can send a separate payment request. Please do not submit government identifiers, payment card or bank details, medical information, passwords, PINs, or other highly sensitive information through OTW forms.

13. Changes to This Notice

We may update this notice as OTW changes. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, a notice on the relevant page or direct notice to affected people. We will not use previously collected information in a materially incompatible way without appropriate notice or consent.

14. Scope

This notice covers OTW's managed public site, related public forms, and current teaser experiences. A later app release may provide additional product-specific disclosures before collecting new categories of information.
